We took our sandwiches but ut is easy to find places to eat in the beach and in Sakalave, though most of the time we felt like castaways in a magic island

Stunning beaches, wonderful to walk along the coast here. Ramena nearby had lovely beach restaurants to visit after the walk.

A must-do in northern Madagascar. A short drive from Diego Suarez and possible to hike from Ramena. The three bays are absolutely stunning but my favourite was Baie des Pigeons with the amazing grey stone formations and gorgeous white sand beaches.

The three baies offer a great sequence of stunning views. I experienced a quad tour and recommend to do the same to get the best feeling. For kiters, Sakalava bay is superb.
