Located in the very heart of the city, a little less traditional than I thought in terms of authentity, but with a brilliant choice of kazakh food. A good place to eat could be found on the second flour. Don't forget to buy some apples...More

Wondering that someone thought it may be worth to visit this market. It is just a big bazaar, nothing else! May be not clean..

It’s an interesting place to experience Almaty. In addition to the food stalls inside the hall, souvenir shops offer local specialties, like fur hats.

Walk in and enjoy all the spice, meat, flowers, nuts, fruits, etc. This is 30-60 minutes visit at most, but is surely worth it.

This market is definitely worth a visit. It has an interesting selection of meats - horse included - and a true working market. Definitely worth a browse!

I think Green Bazaar is a must-visit place in Almaty, the goods here are so fresh and interesting. When you go to the dried fruits row, the sellers will give you many kinds of fruits to try. You'll feel so guilty when you're leaving but...More

For me as a lover of fresh markets this market was a bit of a disappointment. A lot of the same produce with little variety, just a small fish section and no eateries selling some of the fresh food. Only the (old) ladies outside selling...More
