This museum took us no more than 30 minutes to go through. I went mainly for the armour and clothing, which were beatiful. The lack of English means that it's hard for english speakers to fully appreciate all the artifacts. The introduction to the morioka...More

Stayed 1 night in Morioka and found there wasn't much to do or see. The museum has good exhibits but no translations so as long as you can appreciate aesthetics with no additional information its good.

The museum has a nice little collection, including superb lacquerware and armor. It tells the story of Morioka, but pales in comparison with others I had visited in Tohoku.
