The price is cheap, but you expect more information when you visit a history museum, especially as the city has pre-history too. The information is very scarce about the times of the Ryukyuan Kingdom too, even though modern Nara also includes Shuri, the ancient capital...More

Take a break here from walking the city, it's informative, well presented and an enjoyable rest. Could you a little more non-Japanese information, but overall a nice break. Of course, shopping and dining on any of the floors below it.

Not knowing much about Okinawa's history is solved in a well laid out and easily understood small museum, well worth a hour or so to provide a context for everything else you may see

As any visitor to Naha probably does go to the Shuri castle, visiting this museum is a useless waste of time. Generally most of the information was to be found on both sites. One should consider visiting only in the case that there is an...More

Because we had been to the Prefectual Museum and Shuri-Jo Castle this small Collection made sense. The photos of Naha and Okinawa before WW2 were very interesting especially as Naha was devastated by the Battle of Okinawa and most of the sites were destroyed. Not...More

It is with great disappointment that I am writing this review. The only positive thing about this "museum" was the friendliness of the staff. Unfortunately, many artefacts were destroyed during the Battle of Okinawa; therefore there really is very little to see here. The majority...More
