The covered shopping street is near to the JR Station. There are many souvenir shops and restaurants there to facilitate visitors while traveling in Nara. Recommended.

Good street to enjoy less crowds and find a decent restaurant under some cover. Less shops but definitely worth popping into for lunch or dinner especially if it is raining.

Small shopping street, less crowded and not touristy compared to places like Shinsaibashi. Eateries and shop selling snaks, souvenirs, dried sea food can be found here.

Hubby and I fully enjoyed walking the streets of Nara, especially this market place. Let your nose follow the trail to yummy baked goods or lunch time restaurants.
