Kofuku-ji Temple does not quite compare to the other temples in Nara Park but is still very much worth a visit.

It's the second largest wooden pagoda in Japan and is world heritage listed. Free entry to walk around and capture a photo - hopefully with the wild deer!

Very important historical temple site to Nara but main hall was under restoration unfortunately. The five story pagoda is very impressive and towers over the city.

You will see the temple and beside the temple is the five tiered pagoda. It's a small temple compared the the adjacent ones. This temple is close to downtown Nara
