This is a large building that was mostly closed off recently as there is a very small permanent collection of fairly obscure French art and no special exhibit at this time. There are a couple of major names in the permanent collection, Monet is one;...More

I should taken the negative comments on TripAdvisor to heart, but I reasoned that at least the cafe was praised, so it couldn't be a total loss. The pictures in the permanent exhibition are third rate, and the cafe was full. Shame on you city...More

This is a very classic museum with interesting exhibitions. The fact that the museum leaves a large space for the statue speaks good quality of the museum. The nice and cute coffee shop near the entrance is also a highlight. The owner has great tastes...More

We visited when there there was a showing of French paintings from a private collection. They were rather disappointing and not worth the 200yen entrance.

There were some nice collection of impressionist pictures. But the museum was too small. Considering the admission fee, I think a visit is merely optional

Although the permanent collection is small, the entry fee for adults is only 200 yen so the price is appropriate. Seniors, kids, etc., are less. The special show (this time French impressionists) was well presented. In front of the museum are quite a few statues...More

Nice art museum, not a lot of explanation in English though. So it's is about the art itself and not the information. The regular exhibition is quite small.

The beautiful part of the museum was the outdoors, with many beautiful bronze ststues all the way from the Himeji Station to the Himeji museum of arts. The inside show was no good at all. French style with no imagination.. The visit is reccomended, getting...More
