The tram ride was fantastic and showed a quieter side to busy Tokyo. Just a word of warning, though -- we caught the tram from Waseda on a Saturday morning and it was PACKED. Like, jammed-up-against-a-window-with-one-stranger-wedged-in-your-armpit-and-another-one's-elbow-stuck-in-your-eye kind of crowded. So you may want to pick...More

I have had the opportunity to live in Tokyo three different times: as an Expat's kid, as poor student and as young professional. I took my daughter to Tokyo and we rode the Toei Toden Arakawa Line. It was truly a journey back in time....More

Great for those who want to discover a quiet Tokyo. Not in Sakura blossom or Autumn, but people's daily lives in the hot summer here remind me of my childhood. With 400 yens, you can buy one-day ticket and be able to check-in and check-out...More

Our room was in Koshinzuka and this was the best way to get there. We rode this tram at least twice daily and loved it. We didn't get a pass, but I assume there is one and it would probably would have been better for...More

Best to ride or walk along the route in the 2nd half of May or Oct - lots of roses blooming in the Arakawa area - some parks or shopping arcade and restaurants for locals, better to buy a one day pass, it's all about...More
