Keaton Falls is part of Nikko National Park and is a very nice break from the hustle and bustle of city life in Japan. I am a huge National Park lover and I was not disappointed.

There was no water flow during our visit. Amazing. Staff were professional to advise visitors about it before purchasing tickets.

To go here, you need to first go down by a lift inside a mountain. Then after walking through a tunnel for another 2 minutes you reach the spot from where you can see this magnificent waterfall! A must visit in Nikko. I have seen...More

There's a good view of the falls fro a viewing platform at the top but you can take an elevator (Y550 adults [about US$5]) to several platforms much nearer to the bottom. The views from here are spectacular but in late afternoon the sun may...More

As part of our day trip, we visited Kegon Falls. Whilst pleasant enough they really didn’t live up to the hype - so a bit disappointing.

This was a very beautiful waterfalls with an amazing drop! We could still see snow frozen in some areas which gave the waterfalls more character. Drinking hot milk while looking at the waterfalls was perfect on a very cold day! We could still see snowflakes...More

It was absolutely breathtaking the view of the waterfall, I would definitely recommend taking the bus up there, whatever the weather conditions 😄

We stopped enroute to the lake to take the short cable car ride all squashed in to a viewing platform. The falls are quite a distance away and insignificant on a world scale. Still we were happy to have gone.
