We parked our car at the upper car park lot (not the one downstream with all the shops and restaurants). From there it's a nice walk downstream following the falls all the way. The sound and sight of rushing water builds up until we hit...More

Though I didn’t visit this waterfall during its season, I still feel that it must be very beautiful if all the leaves are red. The pathway along the waterfall is nice, not difficult for senior visitors to walk. Transportation is also easy.

There is a car park at the top and at the bottom with stairs leading all the way up . Nice views from the bridge at the top .

It is pretty, however, is not as splendid as the Kegon no Taki(華厳の滝). During the icy winter, it is hard to take a walk on the trail. If you do not have plenty of time, you may skip this spot.

We drove to Nikko. Along the way we drove up to Ryuzu waterall. Nothing much to see just to capture the scenery. Very windy and cold during winter time not many people visiting this place.

There was parking beside Ryuzu bridge, and you can enjoy hike to cafe. It might take more than 10 minutes. It was really good hike watching with color leaves beside river.

Ranked as one of the 3 most famous waterfalls of Oku-nikko, Ryuzu Waterfalls (竜頭ノ滝) flow for 210 meters over rocks from the lava flow when Mt. Nantai erupted. It is so named as the shape of the falls resembles the head of a dragon. The...More

To reach there, you have to take the bus for about 1 hour from the station. Worth it though. The waterfall is very beautiful, and we can enjoy the view while sitting on the bench right next to the waterfall.

We were driving from Nikko to the coast and stopped here to view the falls. 500 yen for parking. That seems pretty standard here. We walked to the falls. An easy walk of a few minutes. Lovely and picturesque. Then had fish at the restaurant....More
