A rather touristy place to visit. Old Japanese building housing shops, snack shops and restaurants. If you like the old architecture than this place is worth a quick visit.

The street is good for adults and not for kids except the food. Nice place to stroll and unwind and see what's in there.

Nice atmosphere with old shops and alley ways leading off. There is also a shockingly nice Starbucks with its own rock garden just off the main street. The Resona Bank building is a classic mix of Western influence on Japan from the early 20th Century.

For the architecture buff in you this is paradise, quite a few old charming buildings maintained and or renovated...Unfortunately the area suffers from the non-stop influx of cars and buses. Long queues form at popular shops making it almost impossible to savour the local delicacies....More

It was just like being in a museum. You can listen to interesting facts and stories of old houses and buildings of Kawagoe old street. We downloaded Audio Guide at Tourist Information at Kawagoe station. Only 500 yen!
