You can approach the lake via a bus or the funicular, but don’t miss the boat ride across. The floating prayer gate is beautiful, though currently under construction/ repair.

Nice lake with your typical type of lake tour to get a decent view of Mt. Fuji. There are many restaurants, shops and galleries nearby.

Had a lovely cruise on a gorgeous day - the views of Mt Fuji were spectacular. The water was such a deep blue and very calm. Would definitely recommend this excursion. The area is very peaceful.

Visited the lake, have a lunch there and then take the rope way. It is a beautiful place but in winter, there isn't much to see.

The lake is nothing spectacular but unique in the settings of Hakone. Most travelers cross the lake to go into the ropeway.

A tourist trap unfortunately. Not much to see and if you have been on boats and lakes before, this would be quite underwhelming. If you do it from owakudani then mt fuji is behind you at the very end and is far away so it's...More

Not a very big lake. Went on the pirate ship. Weather was pretty cold though the sun was out. To be honest, nothing much to see except you can see Mount Fuji on one part of the cruise. If you continue with the next leg,...More

We had a Hakone free pass it covered buses, boats, every thing. Easy to navigate the system with a map.
