Sengokuhara Susuki(Japanese pampas grass) is famous for Autumn view. Beautiful view of pampas grass field and you can hike there. Take bus to 'sengokuhara kogen' and go toward lawson and turn right. It is really beautiful.

From various literature, it was said to be a place where beautiful grass scenery could be seen and walked through. First of all, it was extremely hard to get there. The bus (board with Hakone Free pass on a week day) was full of people...More

Most places by the mountains offers peace and quiet. Don’t expect walking shopping area. It’s nothing like that. It’s like an isolated village.

A short 15 mins walk from Mount View hotel via The Botanical Garden of Wetland. Great site for photos and a beautiful view of mountains.

The photos speak for themselves. I am unable to comment on the view in other seasons but it was certainly amazing in autumn. The bus is pretty convenient to get here as it's about a 5 min walk from the bus stop.

We drove past it several times in our rental car without realizing that the expansive rolling green field was Sengokuhara. A tiny sign by the road said, "Please protect the swamp forest." That was it! No other signs, not even a car park. I can...More

There is a direct bus to reach the location. Once you arrive you will see huge field filled with suzuki grass. Be careful because the wind is quite strong in here. I recommend you to bring a scarf. Though I'm not so sure what it...More
