I am an educator from Canada and this is one of the very best child (and adult) engaging and friendly science museums/exhibits I have ever experienced. I would take my classes here every year if it were possible. Plan to spend a fair bit of...More

Good interactive displays. Good to spend a few hours at. Walking distance from JR Chiba station (15mins). It might be worth finding out the schedule ahead of time as some of the activities only run at certain times.

Worth the 820yen. Spent over 3 hrs here experiment on all of it! Friendly, run by kind volunteers. Although I fall asleep during the planetarium show. Didn't understand Japanese language at all.

Kids will enjoy this. It is in the middle of the city, approachable by train. The museum goes up (8 floors) and planetarium is on the top. Many hands-on activities kids can enjoy.
