Small train station with lockers and some restos. Location is pretty central to most of tourist sites in Otaru. Station is clean and orderly. Trains depart for Sapporo every 15 mins.

The Station that need to be alight to come to Otaru City. The station is quite nice, they are bread store and convenience store inside the Station but before entry to the Train.

Tourist information offers English pamphlet. The clerk seems to give us the honest and reliable comments and tells us the route for sight-seeing. 日本語は最後です。 At the midorino madoguchi ticket counter, you can buy the reserved seat to Chitose airport. みどりの窓口の対応はとても親切でした。またインフォメーションセンターでは、時間や予定に合わせたベストプランを教えてくださいました。 おかげさまで、短期間の滞在が有益に過ごせました。

Just a regular train station that is simple and traditional. There is the bus terminal right in front of it and the fish market just right next to it. Very convenient to walk down to the canal.

The building is ok, has a few shops and a Tourist Information Center and is like most stations in Hokkaido. Nothing negative to say.
