Like all original Japanese castles, the view from outside is great. But within, it's mostly steep steps, dark corners, and little else. View from the top is passable too as Matsue is mostly urban sprawl.

This is an old shogun castle with huge timbers. Historically very interesting; and people watching from the top is fun too.
