Good value museum,lots to see. We spent a couple of hours here. Well preserved Government building with pleasant garden.

Its beautiful.its a must see if you travel to Takayama.its perfect for all kinds of visitors. I would as well advise to read the history. I visited in March and back in october in the festival.

It is a historic government building. You have to pay an entrance fee. It houses all the ancient facilities like rooms, cooking areas, toilets etc.

I’d recommend Takayama Jinya as a must see if you are in Takayama . Small enough in scale to enjoy and at least when we were there not overwhelmed by coach parties . Helpful explanations in English , Beautiful gardens .
