I am really deeply in love with Japan, specially Gifu-been there thrice. The place is a picture of utopia, a place of perfection, a cornucopia of everything beautiful and delightful.... clean, peaceful, safe, flourishing and above all, welcoming. I have been to different spots that...More

Be prepared to spend alot of money because all sections of the Gifu Castle visit are sold separately. The ropeway lift to the top is 1080 JPY per person (Alternatively, there is a 60 minute hiking trail, but not for the faint of heart). Entrance...More

It might not be the biggest castle in Japan but it is located on the top of the hill which it looks so much stunning. The roof top of the castle can view the town of Gifu. However the castle would probably the only tourist...More

The view from the top is stunning. There is a cable car to the top. The price is around 1,080 JPY for round trip. The entrance fee to the castle is 200 JPY. This is a must come tourist attraction in Gifu.

The Gifu castle is relatively small, and as most of the castles in Japan is a museum inside, i.e., there's an exhibition of old goods, clothes, arming and weapons inside. Getting to the top, you'll be able to enjoy a great view of the entire...More

If you have been to a castle in Japan before you can skip the interior of this one; go instead for the amazing panoramic views of the valley below. Also to get a work out getting up the small mountain to the castle itself. A...More

The view from Gifu Castle is formidable. One can imagine the vision of Oda Nobunaga from the top. However, the exhibits inside the Gifu Castle are not as attractive as you may find in other Japanese castles. However, the fare is just 200 yen, so...More

We took the cable car up the hill and the Meditation Trail back down which was beautiful. Because the castle is high on the hill & surrounded by trees it is hard to actually see the castle, but the view is incredible and the walk...More

The castle is located at the top of Mt.Kinka with an altitude of 329m. As Sengoku warlords such as Oda Nobunaga fought in order to base this castle, the view of Nobi Plain from this castle is very wonderful! On sunny days, you'll...More
