This place gives you a glimpse of history, culture and life style of Da Nang, but the writing mostly in Vietnamese. They need more translators.

Eclectic displays ranging from ancient artefacts to Vietnam war relics through tribal tools and fish in formaldehyde making for a pleasant soverview of the many aspects of Vietnamese culture. Not a must but worth an hour or two.

Especially interesting are the old world exhibits demonstrating how the Vietnam population lived an humble, productive life in an agriculture economy. Yes, the obvious, sad details of the of the American war are present. And the US finally acknowledged and pulled out troops. TOO BAD...More

If you have a chance to visit My Son, You do not need to visit this museum. The exhibits in the museum are just small pieces which taken from My Son.

Da Nang Museum has a wealth of history that no search engine can provide. The exhibits on the Vietnam War are raw, confronting and sickening. Westerners, particularly Americans, need to be prepared to feel somewhat disliked by the Vietnamese. Although I'm Australian, my tour guide...More

First, this museum is a good place for those who want to learn about Vietnam War. there are many pictures, story (there're in English) and weapons But this museum might not be suitable for young kids. some graphic are too violent and gory for them...More

Entry fee VND20,000 very reasonable. The artefacts from French invasion and War with USA well labelled and explained. The museum presents a good atmosphere and very pleasant to visit.
