This course is a rip off. Way overpriced for a good layout is diabolical condition. Greens look diseased. They run at about 7. Round took nearly six hours. Money needs to look at this to save his image.

The course is not bad, but absolutely not good either. Fairways are not maintained well enough and greens are slow and needs a loving hand.
Caddies are ok, needs to be better at English.
Won’t be back.

The new management is definitely taking this place from bad to worst. Fairway quality is sub-standard no maintenance whatsoever for consecutive months. potholes divots not fixed, marshals have no idea how to speed up slow players , food served cold while charges increase ridiculously over time. Long-time staff appear to be helpful although they have no say. Da Nang, Hoi An and Lang co, Hue have much better clubs.

Golf in Asia is usually well organized, carts are assigned, caddies are introduced, you putt and go to the driving range. Unfortunately that’s not the case here. The set up is prolonged and disorganized likely because they have too many golfers on the course for what they can manage. There’s signs in the cart on pace of play on a hole by hole basis, unfortunately they’re largely ignored. No marshalls and sometimes 3 deep on a tee led to a 5 hour 30 minute round which wasn’t much fun. At the request of the staff we politely let the senior manager in the pro shop know of our experience and her only response was to refuse to accept US currency for payment as it was ‘flawed’. It’s a shame because the golf course and the caddies are both great.

Chaotic organisation and fairways and greens in poor condition. Definitely not worth the very steep price. Save your money and play elsewhere. Beer also very expensive!
Caddies are good.

Just finished playing around at Montgomerie links golf course. Can’t believe how nice it is the greens were awesome the golf course has been taken care of at the highest standards. Whoever the golf course superintendent is he’s doing a great job. Tam caddie 162 was extremely helpful she was spot on with almost everything she told me today. This place won’t disappoint.

Fantastic landscape view and feel on the course. Very friendly and supportive people. The only minus was mixed quality of fairways.

Don't get me wrong. The courses is OK at everything it does. But when my most favourable memory was of the locker rooms, you get the picture.
The course was in good condition. The greens were fine. The caddies were fine. The after round drinks were fine. But there was nothing that stood out and would make me want to return.
We had booked as two 3-balls but when we got there, we were split into a 4-ball and a 2-ball. As one of the 2-ball players, i was paired with two Korean ladies. Again, don't get me wrong; they were fine to play with and kept up with our pace very well. But when one spends $$$$ to go on a golfing holiday to play with friends, one expects to do so, not be forced to play with strangers with whom one cannot converse. It's money grabbing.
Finally, the greens were dreadfully slow. I spoke to one of the management who informed me that they couldn't cut them shorter at this time of year due to the climate and the grass type. That may be true, but isn't a problem shared with the other courses in the area.
No, if you want a memorable experience, go to Ba Na Hills, which is a great course in a great location with great service and in great condition.

Dear Burenye
I would like to thank you for taking the time to post on your day here with us, we are pleased that overall you had found the course and the facilitates to be to your liking, we do however accept your comments that we can improve on our service and our product moving forward.
In your post you mention Bana Hills Golf Course and I would like to take the opportunity to also agree that they offer a great product for such a very new facility, anyone golfers coming into the Vietnam Golf Coast has multiple choices of courses on offer that offer great variety of design.
Hope to see you again in the near future and again thanks for your comments

The Montgomery golf course management doesn't care about you and I after our money went into their cashier drawer. Period.

The staff at Montgomerie Links were very good and helpful, our group throughly enjoyed playing there.
What is the greens fee?
How about caddies fees?

I was on a prepaid golf tour of Vietnam so I cannot answer the first question. Caddie Tip is usually USD15 as caddie fee paid by Club.

Caddies and buggies are mandatory. I took my own clubs so not sure about hire club quality. If choosing between Montgomerie or Ba Na Hills personally I would pick Ba Na Hills every time.

Please advise price of 18 holes games at Montgomerie Links on the morning of Wednesday 9 December 2015 for 4 pax, all senior (above 55 years of age) players.

It depends if you have your own clubs or not. If not, about $250 aus per person. If you have, about $160-$170 aus per person.
That includes buggy (for two players) and a caddie each.
