We have been coming here many times over many years and never have been disappointed. The spring rolls are without a doubt the best I have ever eaten. Every dish is amazing, the service is personal and we love it here. We have a few day left and will definitely be back.

There is a reason Nguyet has 171 five star reviews! She is so friendly, full of information and the class is such good value! (private as opposed to 15 people following one guide at the market!)
I particularly loved the market tour as she shared with us a lot of local information. I also loved visiting the vegetable gardens owned by her family. It was nice to get out of the bustling Old Town too. It was truly a local Hoi An experience.
This was one of the best things we did during our week in Vietnam.

The two of us booked a cooking class two months ahead online before our Vietnam trip. Everything turned out perfect We were picked up at our hotel on time and went to the two markets to select our ingredient. We selected our dishes online before arriving.
I was an experience learning what to look for when selecting fresh local vegetables, seafood and meat. We then went to the restaurant where the family has had their communal garden for a long time. We picked more spices there and learned about the culture and other very interesting facts. We then prepared our dishes with excellent one on one instruction and then ate. This experience was so much better than those group classes offered elsewhere. We even took the leftovers back to the hotel for dinner later on that day after relaxing by the pool.

Me and my friend attended the cooking class by Nguyet. She was lovely and good at talking English. And her cooking was really good. We went with her to the marked and picked the ingredients we needed, which was great experience and helpfull. Would recommend to go to the marked. Back at the restaurant there was no rush and we enjoyed cooking the food. Will definitely try cooking the same dishes at home.

My husband and I had a great time in our cooking class with Nguyet. Everything was delicious! She sent us the menu in advance so we could choose from tons of options, 3 things that we wanted to cook. Before we started cooking she gave us a great tour of the Tra Que vegetable village where we got to sample all the different herbs. She gives great information about the village and Vietnam in general. This was the best priced cooking class we found. Highly recommend if you want a straight up cooking class without the extra frills most in hoi an offer.

This was the most amazing experience! From going to the market picking up what we needed which wasnt available in the garden they have. So much knowledge, and such a lovely person who showed us the way to cook some delicious food plus a little tour of their gardens. Would highly recommend this place and Nguyet herself. Private class with such a nice environment. Perfect way to spend the morning. Thank you. From Laura & Stella

There is a reason the cooking class at baby mustard has 100% 5 star reviews: it was a fantastic experience.

We were a group of 2, and instead of joining a large tour we got a private experience with Baby Mustard. Nguyet met us at our hotel and took us first for an entertaining and educational tour of the market, where we picked out fresh products for our meals.

We then took a tour of the Tra Que herb garden, sampling some of the local herbs along the way.

The cooking class itself was fun. Nguyet is a great tutor and guided us step by step through the dishes, teaching us about the products and Vietnamese cooking principles along the way.

At the end, we both agreed that the lunch we cooked was among the best meals we had during our 3 weeks in Vietnam!

We took the little Mustard cooking class and is was fantastic. The twins (who are13) loved it and we all made the most delicious lunch . You can choose what to cook and then you go around the market . It was wonderful to see how fresh everything was . I would highly recommend this as a fun morning with a delicious lunch 🥙

The most genuine, authentic and enjoyable experience I have had in Vietnam. I learnt so much throughout the market visit, farm tour and cooking class... all while having a great time! This is a family business that does Vietnam proud and I highly recommend it. As a tip... probably best to book in advance so you dont miss out.

Nguyet is the owner and teacher of Baby Mustard Cooking Class and Restaurant. She is a very patient and informative teacher! Nguyet answered all of our questions about the class via email and she was very quick with her responses. She sent us a list of dishes and we got to pick 3 items. Since the class is private, we asked her a lot about Vietnam, the culture, daily life, and of course, the food. The tour of Central Market was fascinating because we got a peek in to local life. Glad we had a tour guide to show us around because it can be very hectic and overwhelming. She shared with us the different produce and what she buys and recommends from vendors and what the locals ‘scrap’ for tourists (filet mignon for tourists instead of the more fatty beef that has more flavor.) Once we picked up the ingredients we headed to her restaurant for our class. She explained step by step what to do with the ingredients and why. Techniques were shown and we got to do most everything on our own! She didn’t take over our cooking until the BBQ part which was over a small stone and coal device that I’ve never used before. The food was amazing and we absolutely enjoyed every moment with Nguyet. I hope to visit Hoi An again soon and would love to book another class with Baby Mustard Cooking Class just to hang out with her again!
