This is a massive construction, impressive to see and drive across. But don't make a special point to spend a lot of time here. Once you have seen it, that's it.

Not a stand out attraction but worth seeing. It is very much in the old communist style and can be viewed from several different angles. Would not recommend making this a special excursion on a visit to this city.

Brother was proud to show us Dnieper Hydroelectric Station. Husband was proud that it has been built as a copy of Aswan Station in Egypt. Actually very impressive construction full of power.

Quite an important part of the region's history. You will most likely see it whilst travelling around to and from the city

If you drive from Dnepropetrovsk to Zaporizhzhya you will pass Dneper Power Plant. Interesting object, specially the log where ships are transferred from one water level to an other. Also the view from the dam is quiet nice.

This Hydro-Electric dam is a truly remarkable example of early 20th century engineering. It required an enormous effort in terms of resources and labour. The dam is over 800 metres long and 61 metres high. The dam elevates the river water up to 37 metres,...More

If there is one thing that you should see in Zaporozhye it should be this dam. It is the tallest in Ukraine.
