This well-planned museum has exhibits from the prehistoric times through to the 20th century. There are many photographs and articles of clothing as well as various artifacts. However, the highlight is the carriage that carried Catherine the Great into the city in 1787.

This museum covers from the prehistoric era up to the present. Artifacts are clearly labeled in Ukrainian/Russian as well as English and staf are knowledgeable although not always able to speak much English. Plan for at least two hours!
