We had a short stop to see the Pigeon valley. It derived it's name from the many pigeons that are living there and being fed by tourists.

If you go to any of the valley view point, you will somewhat see the same thing and this place is no different. But Views that you see from any of the places are definitely Breathtaking.

Pigeon valley is located near kapadokya.stone area was formed around 10 million years ago. The volcano lava made some beautiful "peribacalari". One of them is called pigeon valley because many pigeons lived in it. You can see the beautiful scenery and take a photo there.

Probably, walking fast from this place to another valley, you will not see the pigeons but you can always hear them. One more tip, it is reachable by walking from Göreme, so hiring a vehicle is not really necessary.

No pigeons left now and you can view it from top of the hill, Nothing attractive as after you see Goreme open air museum and Fairy chimneys etc you wont even feel looking at this valley.

Rug up, take plenty of fluids plus good hiking boots and then enjoy the walk. From Goreme it is a 3 or 4 hour trek.
