Rising from the plains of Anatolia, Cappadocia is an ancient, fairytale landscape famous for its honeycombed underground cities and towering, chimney-shaped rocks. Get a bird’s-eye view of the unforgettable scenery from the region’s best vantage point: by hot-air balloon. You also enjoy a breakfast buffet.

Plan ahead if you want to watch sunset 1. Magnificent valley with unique tower shaped rocks. 2. The weather in Cappadocia in winter is pretty unstable as it often rains and snow. 3. Make sure to check the weather forecast before planning to see the sunset there. 4. Great view with cool rocks. It’s worth a go if ur in Cappadocia.

The Rose Valley/Güllüdere Vadisi is located in between Göreme and Avanos Towns in the City of Nevşehir. If you are in the Region of Cappadocia, it is worth to visit and make a trekking there. You can access to the valley either via Cavusin Village or via the highway from Goreme to Avanos. The colour of the soil is rosy in the valley. You will enjoy the take many photos. If you make a visit in summer time, the best time for visit can be the sunset time. Some hot balloon tours also make a flight over the Rose Valley. Enjoy your time at the Rose Valley :)

It was like heaven. It was amazing hike in there! It wasn't hard to find the churches. I recommend to wear hiking boots. Some places were hard to climb. You should see cross church! Amazing view.

We actually saw this sight from a balloon--which is something you have to do while in Goreme, Turkey. All of the geologic wonders are unlocked and enjoyed from the peaceful ballooning that is readily available here. It is an activity for all ages with much less strain and pure enjoyment. My husband and I were on a tour of Turkey with OAT so it was an optional excursion that we were so pleased we took. Research the area and activity before you venture into Turkey. Our group used Kapadokya Balloons and the Pilot, Seyit Onsaf was so skilled that he landed our basket right ON the bed of the truck that transported it. We have been on several balloon adventures and none of our other pilots had that ability. Be prepared for a very early morning (5 a.m. to be picked up at your hotel) because ballooning requires cool weather in order to ascend. We were told to wear warm clothes because it is cool in the upper atmosphere, but the day we were there the weather was quite nice. There is a little ceremony following the ballooning where we congratulate the pilot and each other with flutes of fruit juices and receive personalized certificates. All in all, a well-planned and exciting event.
