We arrived in Kusadasi by cruise ship and were a group of six. We had planned and communicated with Ephesus Port Tours for many months prior to our visit and their communication was always excellent. We were met as arranged by our guise Os and shown to a very comfortable air conditioned vehicle that was large enough for 8 or 10 so we were very comfortable.
The tour itinerary was notified to us prior to the visit and Os and our driver did a great job in avoiding the many cruise ship buses. Her knowledge in Ephesus was considerable and was sufficient without being over intensive. She allowed plenty of time for photographs and the tour through Ephesus was amazingly smooth and comfortable. The remainder of the tour was really just as relaxed and all in all it was a very good days tour. We would certainly use Ephesus Port Tours again and would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to have a private tour to Ephesus from Kusadasi.

Today was our first day in Turkey. We had a private tour scheduled with HAKAN from EPHESUS PORT TOURS and we loved it.
From the first email exchange to the final scheduling their response was always fast and very nice and acommodating.

We booked the private 'Best of Ephesus Tour' for 2 people.
Everything was great: on time pick up at our hotel in Kusadasi, safe driving - the driver was so nice and attentive -, and the guide - Hakan - was awesome, very knowledgeable and even funny. He went above and beyond to fulfill our requests: "You are the boss!"

Regular tours skip some places because you have to pay separate entrance fees but on the private tour we went to places that were really worthwhile to see. Even better: Hakan knew all the best spots to take pictures at all the sites.

The lunch was optional and not included in the tour price. The recommended lunch spot was peaceful with excellent service, delicious food at €5 per person.

Prior to the our scheduled tour we were offered an option for a shopping tour. Hakan left us very comfortable to choose if we wanted to see this part or not. He explained that we were not forced to buy anything and it was to learn about the culture.
And so it was, no pressure. We watched how silk carpet is made and visited a leather factory.
In the end we were glad we went and we didn't buy anything, although the products are beautiful and of exceptional quality.

We had an unforgettable experience and truly enjoyed it.
I highly recommend the tour and Hakan is the best guide.

Most people will see the City of Ephusus only once in a lifetime and if you really took the effort to come this far then spend a little bit of money for a professional tour guide. We had a life changing day with our guide named Hakan, he explained everything in detail and entertained us all day long. Please don’t do this tour alone you will spoil a great day.

Dilek was our guide for our trip to Ephesus. She was knowledgeable and funny, tailored the experience to our desires, and she made our experience so memorable. And she got us a good deal on RUGS! Yay! Highly recommend.

My husband and I visited Samos back in August, and while we were there, we wanted to take a day trip to Turkey for a tour of Ephesus and to see some surrounding sites. We had never been before and contacted Ephesus Port Tours a couple of days before we had planned to visit. We received a response quickly and Hakan Bozdag (who came highly recommended) was available for the day we requested. Our time with him was great; he's very knowledgable and a kind host. I do not remember his name, but the driver who drove us around was great as well. Though our time in Turkey was short, we enjoyed it very much. Hope to visit again someday.

It was our first time in Ephesus and were very worried about what to do, but thankfully our wonderful guide Oguz brought us to the best of Ephesus and explained everything to us in perfect Spanish. It was a delight to get to know about this place and also to experience more of the crafts that the people in this place do, especially to see how the carpets are done. Definitely, recommend taking this tour if you visit Turkey and Ephesus. It's a must see place.

We loved our day with Hakan. From the start he was there waiting for us as promised when he got off our cruise ship. He then took us to our van which was super comfortable (and had a child seat already installed for my almost 2 year old). He was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited (Ephesus, the house of the Virgin Mary, and the temple of Artemis) and his English is great. My favorite part (as a big lover of cats) was that he brought a large canister of cat food to feed the local cats throughout the ruins. (apparently the cats are good for the site because they eat the rats and mice and keep out snakes). He then took us to have a delicious meal of traditional Turkish food and tour an authentic Turkish rug factory. He was very accommodating and understanding of our needs, traveling with a temperamental toddler. Overall, would definitely recommend him as a tour guide.

Hakan was very knowledgeable and personable. We heard many detailed descriptions of life in Ephesus and he accommodated our every need. We got to go and visit all that we wanted. His English is excellent and the spacious air conditioned van was appreciated. I highly recommend Hakan. Sincerely Ruth Larson

We used EPHESUS PORT TOURS to customize an excellent tour in Kusadasi, Turkey. HAKAN was our tour guide and he was first rate. I will be reviewing him separately.
The tour was easy to find and easy to book, but be warned, Ephesus Port Tours are very popular so you need to book well in advance.
My family is quite diverse ranging in ages from 12 to 61 but we all love history and visiting the home of Saint Mary, mother of Jesus, and Ephesus was amazing. We also had the chance to visit a silk rug making school and Wow was that cool!!!

The air-conditioned van met us at the dock as promised and we raced off passing all the other Cruise ship tour busses to be first in line at the home of Saint Mary’s. A major plus!!! Hakan was informative, about the history of Saint Mary’s without any overtly religious commentary. He was well versed in the religion, as he does pilgrimage tours as well, but we wanted the history and to race off to the next place Ephesus!!

While Saint Mary’s was in the mountains and cool and comfortable Ephesus was HOT!!! Fortunately, Ephesus Port Tours offers umbrellas to its guests, one of the only tour companies to do so and they provided a welcome respite from the heat so we could better enjoy the tour.!!

Ephesus is awe inspiring and awesome. The history was well explained and Hakan showed us the best places to get the best selfies, and photographs. He also gave us time to self-explore.

The next stop was one of the wonders of the ancient world the Temple of Artemis. Hakan explained the history and the layout of the ancient temple and showed us a very interesting view. On the mountains behind the Temple were a Muslim temple and a Catholic cathedral. Thus, our view of the Temple was the only place in the World where you could see Pagan, Muslim and Christian structures in the same place. The photos were wonderful.

I would highly recommend Ephesus Port Tours. Look them up on Trip Advisor and work with them to get the tour that is right for your family and friends!
