It's a nice walk around the lake. They have night markets in the cooler months and you can also feed the fish. Locals enjoy having family meals there so always interesting

After spending many hours on our scooter, the lake was a great way to unwind. There are locals there selling bread so you can feed the fish, and there are an enormous amount of fish in that lake. Some are extremely large. If in Mae Hon...More

The lake in Maehongson is situated in a small park. There are pagoda type platforms surrounding the lake to sit abd admire the view. There is a fitness gym with the outdoor exercise machines if you are not already too hot and sweaty! On one...More

During the cool season this lake will be shrouded in fog especially during the morning hours. Regardless it is the very heary of the city.

A lovely view to the temple from the lake. The lake it self is not big though beautiful. A easy walk around it. You can feed the fish if you choose. Very pretty indeed

The lake in Mae Hong Son is a small lake. It's nice to stop over and enjoy the lake. At night there will be small stalls near the temple and you have a chance to eat and drink with a view on the lake.

Nice area to relax, though more of a pond than a lake, the area also has a temple and a lot of nice restaurants.

I was looking forward to the night markets and things going alive in the evening but sadly we came in their slow season and the market is not on. It still is a quite small lake to walk around and feeding the fish was fun.

The small (you can easily walk around in 20 minutes) lake is essentially the center of Mae Hong Son. Two of the main sights (two temples) are directly at the shore of the lake. In the evening there are many food stalls around the lake....More

Hi there, as the other people have indicated it's about 4 hours or so by bus - very lovely as long as you are not barfing all the way as it is a very very hairpin bendy ride. Mae Hong Son is one of my most favourite places... More
