We joined a tour with a handful of others, to wander the slowly decaying gardens and learn a bit about the birds and plants plus a small amount about the vision of Geoffrey Bawa. The vistas were lovely and certainly unique. Peaceful place and we...More

Truly inspiring. A must see for any budding architects. What a legacy to leave, we felt in awe at Geoffrey Bawa's vision. Magical, breathtaking, inspiring. Only criticism was that we were not allowed into his home.

We spent an excellent morning here. The estate is an oasis of calm and peace and appears to be frozen in time. Most recommended and an easy excursion from Bentota.

I agree with the other answer. It’s a lovely spot but don’t just turn up without checking tour times as they stick strictly to these.
