We visited at sunset and loved our time at the tumuli park. The southern end of the park was much quieter than the northern end. A lovely place for a walk, well worth the small entry fee.

Nice weather, nice park like setting, a nice place to enjoy and take very scenic photographs. My son was able to wear a Korean costume for free with the museum tomb hill as a backdrop - it was a very nice souvenir photo.

This park features a collection of ancient royal tombs dating back to the Silla period. It's like visiting the pyramids in Egypt, only that you're visiting the greener Korean version. While I appreciate the history behind these tombs, I didn't really enjoy the trip here,...More

It was a bit surreal walking around in a park-like environment with these huge mounds dotting the landscape. These royal tombs reminded me a bit of the Egyptian pyramids but on a smaller scale and covered with grass.

The Tumuli Park has historical royal tombs in a peaceful setting. I was not into the Korean history but enjoyed the tranquility during the visit. Fortunately it was a sunny day so the tombs around me became my photographic objects.

Huge place in Kyungju. Easy to access from a bus terminal. Additionally, there are markets, famous bakery, and fusion restaurants. You can also enjoy homestay in the traditional houses around the tombs. Recommend you to enjoy an interval of leisure snached from busy life.

CYC ( 17.12.02 ) My family visited this area after dinner for walking. There was many royal tomb, and that's beautiful with moon light. Though there was good to visit in daytime, but good too in night time. We walked through this area, that's good.

I wanted to go into the Cheonmachong tomb but lady luck was not with me. The tomb seem to be closed for maintenance when we went in late Oct. The road to it was all covered up. So, with dissappointment, wandered around the tumuli park....More

This is a lovely area to explore and to learn about the Silla Dynasty. The burial mounds are actually scattered throughout the town which I found fascinating. Walk among the royals of the Silla dynasty. Definitely worth a visit.
