The great sea of Galilee is such a beautiful lake. I recommend a boat trip with a guide who can show you where all the old villages were, and point you in the directions of the Golan heights, Syria and so on. As a Christian,...More

We took a boat ride along the Sea of Galilee that was really beautiful. The water has a special color, and is so calm. Across the sea, are views of the Golan Heights.

Very welcoming place, excellent food and facilities. But by far the best was watching the sun rise over the Sea of Galilee - priceless. Unforgettable.

Sometimes you read about something and then you have the opportunity to actually explore, and glide across the Sea of Galilee and that scene comes alive!!! Amazing, I had to pinch myself to realize I'm was actually there. Loved the opportunity. So thankful.

I highly recommend taking a boat ride, you get a great scope of the true size of the sea (It's huge!) You can view many of the cities from the Bible from this vantage point. Imagine Jesus walking across from the shore! You will never...More

I really loved the ride on the Sea of Galilee. Peaceful and I could really picture Jesus and His Disciples in a boat out on the lake

There is so much biblical history in this area. We took a boat ride on the lake with a very knowledgeable tour guide. It ended up being a spiritual experience for us as one of the pastors in the group shared a brief message too.

I was just there 2 weeks ago...I would stay in Tiberias although it doesn't seem like much else to see other than the Sea. Haifa was about 1 hour 15 minutes to Sea of Galilee Nazareth seemed to be about 15-20 minutes from... More

Hi. If you are driving you can get to Caesarea from there- but we went everywhere by coach, so it was easy. I don't think that you would need to spend the night in Caesarea. Hope that helps.

I was there Oct '16 at the end of a hot summer. Many 'no swimming' signs, many people ignoring them. I didn't swim myself, but the water was a very pleasant temp. There were designated swimming places at popular beaches.
