    Worth the Climb
Step back in time in this historic city port. The narrow streets and old stone walls make you feel like you have been transported to another era. The Saint Peters Cathedral was a peaceful place with beautiful artwork. I enjoyed hearing about the biblical history that ties this city back to the Bible. Highly recommend that you add it to your itinerary.

    Worth to see
I highly recommend visiting Jaffa in Tel Aviv for its unparalleled beauty and charming atmosphere. Jaffa, with its ancient architecture, winding streets, and vibrant art scene, offers a unique and enchanting experience. Explore the bustling flea market, stroll along the picturesque harbor, and immerse yourself in the rich history and cultural heritage of this historic neighborhood. Don't miss the opportunity to witness the breathtaking sunset views from Jaffa's promenade. Whether you're a history buff, an art lover, or simply seeking a memorable experience, Jaffa is a must-see destination that will captivate your senses.

    I Love Jaffa
Jaffa is a must to visit if you are in Tel Aviv. If you like flea markets (I do) it’s great to rummage through the many little shops and search for goodies. It’s one of my favourite places in Tel Aviv. A must in Jaffa is the Ilana Goor museum.

We visited Old Jaffa. Such an authentic place. We were looking for kosher hummus and got a recommendation to go to Sharon Paul. Simply a culinary experience. What hummus. An amazing class. Falafel and chips. There are 4 couples and we paid 70 dollars.

Great to visit or as a base from which to explore. There is great nightlife here too
Jaffa - (yes as in oranges because that's where they were transported from to Europe and beyond), is an interesting little place which can easily be circumnavigated on foot in a day. There are points to see, the elevated orange tree, the harbour area with its niche coffee shops, galleries and eateries. The seaside Mosque, the wishing bridge etc but the charm is just the atmosphere and contrast of old city against the new. Jaffa is shaped kind of like two anchors, one within another. This was due to the Uprising in the 40'2 where to make Jaffa more defensive, new roads were made, straight through peoples houses too. There is long history here. The replica Egyptian arch which remnants dates back some 4,000 years. The romans Romans, the Ottomans, Napoleon, Arabs and of course the British all left there mark before the Israelis. But little can be seen of this now. The walls are the boundary to art shops and eateries. The elevated park is pleasant (best viewed morning or evening) and the clock tower is a good central point by which to orientate yourself. By the way if you are there and look along the road south there is a superb bakery on the left open all hours and serving the most superb nibbles! Moving slightly inland there area come alive at night with bars and restaurants with some live street music. Its a real hub in the evening where everyone goes.

Charming ancient part of Tel Aviv
Wonderful old city, full of beautiful old buildings, Churches, Mosques and narrow ancient streets. It also has a vibrant heart with plenty of shops and nice bars and restaurants. You definitely want to spend some time there when you're in Tel Aviv.

Good place to take a walk along the Mediterranean
Jaffa is an ancient port. The city of Tel Aviv grew from here. The lighthouse is a well-known feature of the Jaffa Old Port. The Old Port is a good place to take a walk along the Mediterranean. You can see the skyscrapers of Tel Aviv in the background.

I spent the afternoon walking around Jaffa to experience the people, food, and shopping experience. I didn't visit any museums so my purpose was to just wander around randomly. I had hoped for better shopping with the flea market but it turned out that many of the shops were simply garages filled with junk (see images). The stores I did find had the usual junky tourist stuff that was the same from store to store.

I did enjoy the beach area and the mosques were interesting to see.
