I visited Ein-Gedi with my family, right after my oldest nephews Bar Mitzvah on top of Masada, to saw it was an incredible day is an understatement. Daniela was so warm and inviting and I have never seen a place that was so beautiful! The way Daniela told the story of Ein-Gedi was inspiring and, against all odds, not only were they able to build a thriving kibbutz there, they were able to go any and every single plant and tree you can imagine! The tour coupled with the most delicious lunch, in her home with her wonderful husband Yehuda, only topped off the perfect day. That day was one of the most special days of my life and I will never forget it. Thank you Daniela and Yehuda!!

We visited Daniela and Yehuda for a delightful lunch and got to see the lovely botanical garden with plants from biblical times that were the basis for perfume, like frankincense. The dates were yummy and rival to none. Excellent madjool variety. Lunch was scrumptious - macaroni and cheese just like at home and more. What amazing hosts - they represent the best of what Israel and kibbutz has to offer. Thank you!

I realized ,while I was listening to Daniella ‘s presentation of the story of the kibbutz Ein Gedi that everything in the kibbutz Ein Gedi is about the miracle of Love and Beauty in the most unexpected place.500 feet under the ocean level , the love of God for its creation expressing itself through natural wonders, the healing powers of the sulphur baths ,of the sea of salt of the air full of oxygene ,of the minerals essential to life on earth ,the Ein Gedi stream nourishing all forms of life around it allowing a permanent miracle of flourishing and growing and protecting in the extremely dry climate of the judean desert. The love of the kibbutznick who day after day took care over the years of a magnificent garden that offers shade ,perfumes and fruits and abundance of colors and shapes along each walk in the garden which surrounds the houses and living areas and all can be toured while staying in the kibbutz hotel . Beauty is everywhere for the eyes to indulge in, The majestic mountains of cinnamon and gold surrounding the kibbutz and the sea of salt .The rainbow colors of the sea ,where blue and green ,grey and purple ,play with the sun and are ever changing. The beauty of the kibbutz and the kibbutz hôtel ,nested in a mountain ,a little bit above the sea ,with two different SPAS to suit everyone needs ,the beauty of the people working in the hotel ,giving ,understanding ,helping making one ‘s feel welcome and at home in the most enchanted place.

The Taste of Ein-Gedi is a unique and wonderful experience for the whole family. The Kibuttz is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the desert. Daniela and Yehuda are the most welcoming and knowledgeable hosts. My family (2 parents, 2 kids 12/14, and grandpa) had a marvelous time, a delishous meal, and learned so much about Kibbutz life. I have to say the visit was my favorite and most special part was our trip to Israel. Thank you to Deniela and Yehuda for sharing your story and Home with us. We all felt very welcome.
