Ancient artifact is now used for concerts, etc. It is the best of both worlds. Facing the Mediterranean it could not be planned any better. Because of the concerts, etc this is more than a tourist attraction. Interesting!

This is the main attraction at Caesarea. Very nice theatre with views of the sea. If you are seeing the archeological site you must see the theatre.

There are so many of these Roman theaters but I will never get tired of them. This one at Caesarea is very intact and even though alot of it was renovated and numbered because it is an active arena for shows and performances.

A typical Roman theater. It is partially rebuilt, but also has original sections. The acoustics are good. The view out to the ocean is nice as well. Would be a fun place to hear a concert. There were people singing on stage from a Korean...More

The Theatre structure is impressive and worth a visit. As with much of the sites at Caesarea there is a bit of signage but not much to bring it all to life. So unless your kids love this sort of thing, expect some moaning about...More
