This was one our stops on a family walking tour of the Old City in Beersheba. We did not go in - the site was closed when we were there (middle of a weekday? odd...), but we just enjoyed seeing a piece of history. There...More

This is okay to see if one have time, but really nothing special without a strong background interest in Beer Sheva history. I thin it will be okay to hear a whole story and drive to see w/o stopping.

Strategically placed near the old Ottoman train station which has been renovated and serves as a small strolling park, the engine looks authentic enough because it is. But, apparently it isn't one of the engines which pulled Turkish trains around the area. Nice enough for...More

For me, the History of Engine 70414 was new. And I have lived in Israel for 50 years! This site, built by the city of Beersheba, is a reconstruction of the original Ottoman railroad station, together with the famous Engine 70414. Good tour guide (part...More

After visiting the restored train stations in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, the one in Beer Sheva is a disappointment. While it's always nice to see a piece of history, there's nothing exciting to do there and plus there aren't really restaurants as well.

Nice reconstructed site of Turkish Engine. the place is well built, but beside one (only one) local restaurant there is nothing to do if there is no festival of any kind....

Fun for the whole family. Tours are given in English and Hebrew. Also activities for children in one of the trains. Free outdoor concerns in the summer.

This museum includes a visit into an old train with films allowing the visitor to feel as he is traveling. The explanations about the train journey from Egypt north to Turkey via Beer Sheva is interesting. A bit confusing to find, but well worth the...More

... a 10 min visit and that's it. A location who could have more charme if somebody is interested to do something for it. There is more potential in this location. But for now not really necessary to visit. So dont calculate too much time...More
