The Or Torah Synagogue, also know as the Tunisian Synagogue, is a very beautiful synagogue. It was built relatively recently, in a modern looking building and doesn't really look anything like a synagogue from the outside. Inside the synagogue is covered with mosaics, wall to...More

Mosaics everywhere. All beautifully done! The Walls, the ceilings and the floor all had great mosaics. I haven't seen anything like this before!! Took lots of pictures. Also a wonderful stained glass window display honoring the branches of the Israeli military.

This functioning synagogue is covered literally from head to toe in beautiful mosaics depicting Biblical scenes and modern Israeli aspects (coins, maps, etc). Life work of the founder of the synagogue is just a feast for your eyes. Open daily till noon, it should not...More

We have never seen a synagogue like this, and didn't even know they existed! The unbelievably beautiful tile work, stained glass, lights and designs were a feast for the eyes. We were worried that we would not be able to see the synagogue because the...More

I asked in the tourist office. I was told to just go over there. No reservation or advance call was neccessary. Enjoy, it's beautiful.
