Cetho temple is located just about one hour away from Solo, up the hill surrounded by tea plantation. It is still being used by the Hindu community. Around 90% of the population around the area are Javanese-Hindu. Going up to the top of the temple...More

If you played The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim before, this place is somewhat like Sky Haven Temple where you need to climb to high altitude in order to reach there. I'm exaggerated a bit because of course it's not a snowy mountain but think of...More

The road to this temple is scenic. Lush green, many traditional houses left and right, many open air restaurants with unique designs. You’d pass by tea plantations too, and depending on what time of day, you could watch the workers do their things; they’re hospitable...More

This temple is in the highlands an hour or so outside Solo. On the way up you will pass many tea plantations and vegetable gardens. Best to visit this place in the morning.

Really worth to see the restored Java-Hinduism temple although it took us about 1.5 hours drive from Solo city bu Uber. Beautiful scenery along the road with tea and vegetable plantations. Cant imagine they built such a temple at 1,500 meters elevation far from everywhere.
