From start to finish everything was professional and friendly. We were picked up at our hotel over an hour away. The boat was spacious, clean and seemed meticulously cared for. I have never experienced such complete service, right down to lunch. Our guide was attentive, informative and most importantly safe. We saw Mola mola and Manta rays! At the end of this magical day we were driven back to our hotel in UBUD. Highly recccomended!

Don't use this dive shop if you value your life

The divemaster was drunk. He took my payment and then tried to convince me it didn't go through and I needed to make another payment but I could see the payment already on my Mastercard website. Then during lunch break he dumped his food into the clean water camera bucket. On the last dive he grabbed my bcd and kept pulling me backwards and hitting my legs with a metal baton. I finally escaped and surfaced. If I didn't have almost 1000 dives I would be dead. He did this at 120 ft or 40 m in very cold water with strong current and not great visibility. He did this because I didn't kick my fins the way he thought I should kick. He was an idiot because I had brought my own fins same ones used by US Navy Seals where you undulate more than up and down kicking, chosen for use because less energy was needed and short enough so you can actually walk in them and not trip. The 2 girls from Australia should have their license revoked and I'll do that next time in Bali which might be this year.

Another great Bali dive trip with Aquamarine

From late October into November 2023 we made our 10th dive trip to Bali with Aquamarine Diving Bali, who has also arranged one trip for us to Lembeh Strait, Sulawesi, a few years ago. We have gone with them most years since 2012 except when COVID interrupted travel. This year included 31 dives day and night for 11 days mostly on muck sites in the Tulamben area from Tianyar in the west to Amed in the east. Like all the others, the trip was excellent and the photo subjects many and varied. Aquamarine did their usual superbly professional job: the front office who arranged the lodging and other aspects of the trip; the friendly drivers in clean and spacious vans who picked us up at the airport and carted us around to various dive sites; and of course our dive guide Ketut, a true expert in finding often tiny photo subjects but also who went over the top to help get a couple of aging divers in and out of the water safely on the sometimes rocky beaches. Even some of the van drivers were willing to get wet carrying our cameras out into the water for us. Like all of our other experiences with them, Aquamarine provided us with some great diving and we will not hesitate to book with them again.

relaxing holiday on Bali

we have made a trip to Bali again and from there we also had 1 week in Labuan Bajo Flores to dive the komodo area. We had the whole trip arranged by Aquamarine and as always everything was perfect arranged , all transfers where on time all reservations are made and as usual all staff was very friendly and helpfull.
Also the diving trip to Komodo was arranged by Aquamarine in cooperation with Manta Rhei in Labuan , that worked out very well and is definitly something we can recommend if you would like to dive the Komodo area.
Thank you Aquamarine for making our trip very relaxed again and we will be back soon for sure to enjoy the beatifull Bali and your amazing service.

Had a great diving experience with Wilan, who was my guide during a two days diving 'tour' around Bali. On 25th of July we had two great dives at the USAT Liberty in Tulamben (North East of Bali) being the first and third dive. In between (2nd dive) we were at the dropp-off, some further away. The next day, I had booked a trip by boat to Nusa Penida with AMD and spotted some great creatures, the manta rays at Manta Point, a special at Crystal Bay and finally a drift dive at PED.
If you will dive in the Bali area, book your trips with AMD as they are good equipped (bus, boat, diving gear), good, experienced and skilled divers, professional teams and nice meals as lunch on board their fast boats. Thanks again Wilan for your diving with you, so relaxed!

I think if you only have two days to dive around Bali, particularly in the middle of the year, diving Tulamben Bay for the 120m USAT Liberty Shipwreck, and over at the offshore island of Nusa Penida, including Manta Point, and looking for Mola-Mola/Ocean sunfish, are the best choices! Plus you took advantage of our well-priced 3 Dives Mola-Mola Special Offer Day Trip! Thank you so much team AquaMarine for my 3rd 10 out of 10 experience diving with you in Bali. You are a highly professional diving company with impeccable standards, that never fail to deliver an awesome diving experience. My brother and I had the best diving experience with 8 dives in total.
I want to make a special shout-out to diving instructor Aan. He was a kind, calm, knowledgeable and fun instructor, pointing out many things that the untrained eye is not tuned in to while always having safety as a top priority. Also many tahnks to the great team of drivers,boat captains and crew who were a friendly, safe, well-tuned team. I would recommend Aquamarine to anyone wanting to dive in Bali.... And a heartfelt “Thank you” to you and Scott for again choosing AMD-B; we are delighted you both had such a great time :-) I agree with you that your Dive Guide, Aan, is a true asset to AquaMarine. My memory’s not great but I believed he joined us in 2008, so 15 years. I’m pretty sure you dived at Biaha, my personal favourite dive site in Bali (although far from the easiest, or prettiest :-) ) however I’m not in the office so can’t check Aan’s Dive Trip Report. I hope it yielded some interesting sightings and the surge wasn’t too big. We look forward to seeing you both again, hopefully before too long. Great day of diving with Aquamarine Diving-Bali

I had a great dive day with Enal and Abi, who picked me up in Manggis for the drive to Tulamben. We dove the Drop Off and then had two dives on the USAT LIberty. They had everything I needed (which was everything except mask and cameras), including nitrox tanks and good equipment. We enjoyed a good lunch at Ocean View, very close to the wreck site. Enal is a very good guide.

I see you were staying at Alila Manggis – so peaceful, good choice! Thank you for your kind words about AquaMarine’s service and standards, and Inal’s abilities :-) I checked the Dive Trip Reports for your 3 dives: Interesting to read that you saw many Blue-ribbon eels, including in the black/male phase. I haven’t personally seen one for a while. Plus Leaf scorpionfishes, loads of nudibranchs, Devil scorpionfish, Ornate ghost pipefishes and turtles (both of the latter were very much in season when you were here!) took me a while but here it is. i’m so happy i chose this dive centre. everything from the beginning to the finish was just flawless. my wife was a bit scared before arriving, so the centre was quite flexible on the paying arrangements. but once we started there were no issues at all and we ended up going from zero to advanced open water straight away. the staff was super nice and friendly, instructors were knowledgeable and super helpful. the equipment was of a high quality and well maintained, up to a point that i got a new scubapro bcd just for myself. the transport provided was clean and comfortable, always on time. the lunch places were amazing, lots of options, tasty food. the boat and the crew were great, spacious and comfortable. and the dive sites were super fun, we were quite lucky with the conditions as well.
want to say special thanks to the manager Jason, who helped me book the courses and answered all my noob questions. and of course to Putu, our open water instructor, who had super fun and chill vibe going on, while keeping it very professional. also want to mention Abi and Mar, who were on their way to become divemasters, thank you for helping out.
anyways if you’re still deciding between dive centres, loom no further. i’d strongly recommend this one to anyone. personally i’m definitely coming back whenever i’m visiting Bali. thank you guys! stay safe and see you someday!

Also, it was kind of you to write it in English – I know Kazakh is not available here on TripAdvisor but you could have opted for Russian. With English, that will be useful for more people so again, thank you :-) I apologise for the delay in responding to your review: I was actually having a Dive Guide & Driver Meeting when I saw your review, printed it to discuss at the meeting, and then … well… I was so pleased that Bozhena did decide to go ahead and take both the PADI Open Water Diver course and the Advanced OW Diver course with you. I know how good it is to have a partner who is also a dive buddy :-) Thank you again for your all-encompassing review of AMD-B; I believe it will be very useful for people at the same point you were: Coming to Bali, wanting to learn to dive. Please remember to ‘keep up’ the diving. I personally had a break between learning to dive and getting in the water as a ‘certified diver’ and it felt a bit odd. A Perfect Dive Center .

Walked in reading their reviews off the net .. in all dived three days with them .. recieved a warm welcome from Ni who explained in great detail what my options were and then asked me to choose. She then guided me on where i should dive based on those chosen options . All of this was truly welcome information to a first time BALI visitor . After everything was chosen she then turned me over to Budi who i must say is the most meticulous outfitter I've met to date . Ensuring that all my rented equipment was truly comfortable he ensured that i would dive in a confident frame of mind .
The next morning i was picked up by AGUS and the van with 4 other divers and off we went .
Without going into too many details I'll make this review informative by listing mostly my obvervations . I'm an advanced open water diver with around 200 dives under the belt in various countries. What struck me about AQUAMARINE DIVE SCHOOL was the following.
1. Their equipment is top class and they ensure you're perfectly comfortably suited up to dive stress free .
2. Their pick uo up vans and boats they use are in mint condition and also extreme customer friendly .
3. Their DIVE MASTERS are extremely professional and have a very compassionate outlook to life . I can't emphasise this enough . Being 68 years old and having just undergone two hernia operations 6 months ago i was not supposed to lift anything heavy. AGUS carried my entire tank BCD etc to the waters edge the first day on the shore dives to the Liberty Wreck and nursed me along gently like one would handle fragile glass . I cannot even begin to thank him enough for all the care taken by him to ensure i not only enjoyed my dives but returned safely to shore .
Subsequently i dived twice more with them that week .
Needless to say those too were spectacular dives
. I had nose to nose encounters with Manta Rays n Turtles too . Someone up there in the heavens smiled down at me that week . Perfect sightings , perfect dive center, perfect boat and of course an incredible DIVE MASTER ..AGUS .
Each time they treated me like one of their own and I'd never dive with anyone else in Seminyak Bali.
The food carried along was sufficient and nutritious enough though if one chooses to carry fruits, snacks or soft drinks etc one is free to purchase those extra at the nearby shops before the dive.
I would rate them truly a 5 star PADI dive center and recommend them to anyone without hesitation .

Dear Mahesh Many thanks for the time you took to write your review of your experience with AquaMarine Diving - Bali. You mentioned three AMD-B staff: - Ni, the Dive Travel Consultant with whom you spoke and who organised your diving. - Budi, AMD-B’s Equipment Manager, who chose and fitted your rental dive gear for you. and - your Dive Guide, Agus. He is a PADI Divemaster (currently the only DM we have, our other DGs are Instructors or above) and our youngest DG. Their levels of dedication and commitment to AMD-B’s motto of ‘Safety and Enjoyment’ are representative of every one of my team, I am lucky to have them. You also mentioned: - AMD-B rental dive gear is “top class”. - our minibuses and boats are “in mint condition and also extreme customer friendly” and - our Dive Guides are “extremely professional and have a very compassionate outlook ” To which I will say: I’m happy to hear AMD-B met your expectations, Mahesh :-) As for Agus taking such good care of you during entries and exits, was well as underwater, I will again say that I am lucky with my team as they all take great pride in their level of customer service. Age and physical limitations shouldn’t deter anyone from scuba diving :-) Agus loves diving and thoroughly enjoyed showing you the highlights of Tulamben Bay inc the 120m USAT Liberty Shipwreck, the Blue Lagoon Area, and taking you over to Nusa Penida. We are lucky to see Manta rays year-round here, and as for the sea turtles – it’s always very memorable to watch those ‘ancient mariners’. Great, unforgettable dives

My dives with AquaMarine were incredible. I moved around Bali (from Ubud to Uluwatu) and they were great about pick ups in both locations. I did a total of 5 dives and each one was handled professionally. They were accommodating with changes and the instructors were top notch. Really glad I decided to go with AquaMarine for my Bali dives. The manta point dive was a no brainer...do it! Would definitely recommend them

I see that, as you’d not been diving for a while, you sensibly started with a Day Trip to Tulamben Bay (world-famous for the 120m USAT Liberty Shipwreck). You won’t be surprised to hear that people travel from around the world to dive in Tulamben Bay :-) Such easy conditions with such incredible diving! Ketut, your Dive Guide, is particularly knowledgeable about Tulamben Bay’s marinelife. Then, a Day Trip to Nusa Penida – including a dive at Manta Point! - with another of our highly-popular Dive Guides, Putu. Two great Day Trips, good choice!
