This is special for you an art enthusiast! Werdhi Budaya Art Centre is a must visit spot, especially on June-July because they hold Bali Arts Festival as an annual art event. I am so lucky to be able to capture some of BAF 2019 moments when I go there. There's a lot things you can explore here, way from watching art performance until seeing around art gallery.

It was a truly memorable experience visiting the art centre during Pesta Kesenian Bali event. I especially went there to watch the performance of Sanshin Shitamachi from Okinawa, Japan. They played traditional Japanese string instruments along with poetic songs, and what's best was they collaborated with local Balinese gamelan groups for their special performances. It was culturally enriching and mesmerizing to watch indeed. Thumbs up for the whole team performers and crew who managed to do it all. I also believed that all the other art performances shown throughout the month long festival were great, I wish I had got more time to spend there.
All in all it's a must visit place to learn and watch Balinese art activities, especially during special events like Pesta Kesenian Bali.

We went there with few expectations and were pleasantly surprised. It is a well laid out and peaceful arts and cultural centre. The art work gives a view of the diversity and richness of Bali and Indonesian art.

I went to Werdhi Budaya Art Center for the art festival last Saturday. The exhibition building is said to close at 3:00 pm, but sadly I was asked to be out at 2:40 by the guard. Full of local people enjoying their time, it is a quite nice place. I watched two performances, one at 5:00 pm (more amateur), and the other at 7:30 pm (more professional). They were nice, only all the introductions are in Indonesian, and I didn't understand a word. I walked around the center, and found all information is also in Indonesian. What a pity!

This art center culture park is very artful, many ornaments typical of indigenous culture of Bali. The performance hall was pretty good, with rows of chairs like chairs like cinema. The stage was very special, typical of Bali.

This is the nodal place in Denpasar for arts crafts and performances as its hosts a small museum, exhibition halls and an indoor and outdoor theatre with a nice garden and a courtyard.During the performances there are many street food vendors

We enjoyed the performances a lot. Very elegant and entertaining even though we don't understand the language. Many shops and food vendors for typical Indonesian food.

Everything is so beautiful here.. the culture, the tradition and the art. even if you don't plan on buying, you must visit the art galleries and see the beauty of Bali in oils.

While it looks like a forgotten place in a normal day, Art Center becomes alive between June and July with the Popular Bali Art Festivals that attract thousands of people to come every day to see dance competitions, musical performances, art exhibitions, culinary experiences and trendy fashion shops. Don't miss Art Center if you come to Bali between June 13-July 12 in your agenda. Here you will find a gay local atmosphere!
