The tower here was where shah Jahan lived out his final years,,,, imprisoned by his son. The irony is that he could look out the window and see the beautiful Taj Mahal across the river.

the contrast between the white marble and the red sandstone of Agra fort is highlighted here so well. Even in the heat of the day this was a cool spot to sit and look out at the Taj in the distance

This is inside the Agra fort and a part of the Diwan E Khaas. This was apparently the place from where Shahjahan had his view of the the Taj.

It is in this place we have the bests views of Taj Mahal from Agra Fort, one of the few places now in Agra Fort where we can go to na upper level, everywhere else is closed, maybe for restoration or who knows why.

There is only one ticket for the entire fort sightseeing. Ticket for Indians is Rs40/- only per person. Tickets for Foreigners is Rs. 550/- only per person.
