Outside of Ooty but if you love museums then visit this one! Our group of 4 were the only visitors and the guide gave us his full attention .... even though we turned up at his lunch break. One of the best museums I have...More

The main facilities available at Tribal Research centre are library with books and journals on tribal studies,well furnished guest house,tribal map,open air tribal museum.

We were so happy to spend time at the tribal research center which is 40 minute drive from Ooty city near the Good Shepard school and hostel. The center itself is poorly managed but had a store house of artifacts and information on the tribes...More

This view point provides information on the different tribes residing at Ooty and hill ranges. Not the best place to visit, however if you have a spare hour or so, it is no harm learning something about people living a life different from ours.
