Maharaja's Palace is inside he Jaisalmer Fort. this place is also the oldest palace in Jaisalmer. collection of King's things are also available there. unforgettable experience.

It is the nice place to witness the old life style of king. You can have a birds eye view of the entire jaisalmer city from the top of this place.

This fort is apparently the second oldest to be built in Rajasthan (chittorgarh being the oldest). Found this to be the only fort where people still reside (About 4000 people as per our guide). Hence one finds houses, gullies, bazaars,temples, ppl riding bikes etc. Maharaja...More

When we visited many of the sections were closed for reconstruction, preservation etc. The (few) artefacts shown were okay, some were quite dusty and behind dirty glass panels. The queens quarters were very disappointing. A whole room with a chair behind glass and a painting...More

One of part of Golden Jaisalmer palace and different type of antique items are displayed but sorry to say lack of proper maintenance. No efforts to revive the same, Othetwise best one to visit.

When you visit Jaisalmer. Must visit golden stone fort and Maharaja's palace. Palace need some restoration work to make more beautiful.

I would allow 1 to 2 hours, and wander around on your own or get an audio guide or pay a guide to take you around - whichever you prefer.
