Its a great old palace like many others in Rajasthan but go with a good guide who is ready to spend to explain - you could easily spend 3 hours

We thought at least the museum will have some decent artefacts to look at. There were dusty old pieces that didn't seem to have really been preserved from the days of the rule.

A lavishly decorated palace within the fort that has been recreated with furniture, photos, and artefacts of the time the maharajah lived and ruled here. Recommended not to miss this tour.

Visited here as part of the visit to Jaisalmer fort. Some interesting rooms displaying furniture and objects from a wide historical period of time. Some of the stair cases are quite steep and narrow

Only worth visiting if this is your first fort or palace in Rajasthan, not worth the steep foreigner’s price. Displayed material is not interesting and the beautiful stone carving is ubiquitous in Jaisalmer. Spend your time wandering through the alleys or on a rooftop terrace.

The place is full of historic memories. Could have been better maintained though... Go post lunch - less crowds likely...

Walked around with a headset for the audio tour in Japanese. Learned something, but not much. The most impressive part in this palace was the jewellery shop at the end. I’m not related with the shop. Just amazed by the artworks by them.

The fort itself is impressive of course, but this fort museum has nothing so special however you would think that since you are here then it is worth a visit. But not at all! They made us pay a very expensive ticket without even specifying...More

I would allow 1 to 2 hours, and wander around on your own or get an audio guide or pay a guide to take you around - whichever you prefer.
