Although most of it is in ruins, yet the excavation site is quite enthralling. The relics of temples, architectures, sculptures, and a large face of Lord Buddha bear testimony to the architectural marvel of that period.

A large buddhist monastery dating back to the 5th century CE with a large stupa, residential buildings and many sculptures of Buddha, Bodhisattva and many carvings with Tantric influence. A must see for Buddhists and historians interested in the Buddhist heritage in Odisha

Vertex of the diamond triangle, It deserves more attention from historians as well as tourists. Those who visit Nalanda come and see what was Puspagiri Vishwa Vidyalaya then.
