Matri Dei in Latin means Mother of God.This cathedral is located in heart of city but the atmosphere is silent and peaceful.This is one of the oldest churches in Malabar and is designed by Italian architects.

A cathedral in the real sense, this imposing structure is not yet on the tourist circuit. A must visit when in Kozhikode, the cathedral is a great place to spend some time in solitude.

This is the ancient Cathedral church of Calicut diocese. A must visit place for christians as well as others who loves ancient structures.
