This is a popular temple in Karnataka, especially Mangalore. The marble flooring & cleanliness is impressive. The temple premises are huge & very well maintained. We visited on a weekday when there were few pilgrims & quieter surroundings, making the whole experience blissful.

May be about 3 to 4 kilometers from both places. In Mangalore, distance is not a problem.
