Have seen many better lakes .. so nothing much about it .. it is supposed to be a man made lake and is very big .. it was good in monsoons but the locals said avoid summers ...

There was no water in the lake in Feb'18, please check before going there. Also road to lake is very narrow and you will not find any shop etc.

This is one of the largest lakes in Karnataka. Located quite interior, is at quite a distance from the actual Chikkamagalur town. Not a must visit, but is good to see at-least once.

One of the highlights of the lake is the view of a pyramid shaped peak standing alongside the reservoir.Tourists can also engage in recreational activities at the lake such as fishing and camping at the lakeside.
