One can't really call it an 'attraction' but the statue of histric figure Basavanna on horse riding that was recently installed is a striking image on a busy junction and indicates to the travelers that they are at Basaveshwara layout.

This staute in famous Basaveshwara cirlce in Bengaluru portrays Great Poet Basavanna on horse back. The statue is quite big and is a respect for the 18 th century poet who was actively invnolved in social reforms in Mysore region at that time

Basava, or as he is respectfully known Basavanna was a Kanada poet and philosopher in the 12th century. There is a statue of him on a horse at Basaveswara circle in the city. It is a simple statue not very impressive to look at.
