Chitrakala Parishat is a renowned school of art in Bangalore, with an enviable alumni list. Located in a tree-lined campus, CKP — as it is popularly known — has a museum, a store and a gallery worth visiting. The gallery has rotating exhibits while the museum has permanent displays of paintings and crafts. CKP comes alive during its much-awaited fests: the annual Handicraft Mela and the Chitra Santhe (art market), both of which provide outlets for artists and craftsmen.

I love to visit this place very frequently. As this place keeps on having so many events. It's really one of the most happening places in Bangalore. Specialty is one store in campus, having all art and craft related stuff.

Beautiful art works at display. Can spend 1 to 2 hours. Mysuru paintings gallery is really good. Art works of Rabindranath Tagore are also displayed. Needs maintenance. The quality of art can be compared to other great museums, but the ambiance is not good.

Must visit for a person who understand paintings and crafts or this would be very boring experience. Photography is prohibited inside, spend your time wisely as it will take 1.5 hours to 2 hours to complete the Gallery tour.

Exhibition of art or place to shop in flea markets when held. Flea markets have items from all over the country and individuals sell their artistic creations.

Went here for a friend's art exhibition. It's a fantastic venue for artists and art lovers alike. I do recommend it highly if you want to do something different and cultural in Bangalore. Located very centrally as well.
