Built in the 16th century, this has been well preserved and looked after . A lot of curio shops on the road leading up to the place and some eating places around make this a good day visit from Leh

Visit as early as possible - this area fill up with tourists and becomes impossible to move in or out. Monastery sites are best with fewer people.

This is a monestary in a village of Alchi. It is less crowded and peaceful. It has great artwork from ancient time.
