Actually Jyeshtheshwara is the name of shiva lingam on top of the Shankaracharya hill. This temple belongs to BC and the Aryan-Kashmiri architecture at its best

this temple was fairly quite with few visitors. really enjoyed the walk around. nice landscape among the temple buildings and icons. nice to see--- but not a 'must' for Srinagar

Security was really tight at this site....cameras and cells have to be left on your tour bus. You have to walk up a few hundred steps to reach this tiny but ancient temple. If the sky is not so polluted, the scenery over looking Dal...More
